ROCHDALE’S truncated Lancashire League season has got off to a poor start.
After five games they sit at the foot of Pool 4 of the President’s Cup with no wins and four losses to their name.
They include a 31-run defeat at Walsden. The home side won the toss and elected to bat and were bowled out for 147 in 28 overs.
Despite that it proved too much of a target for the visitors who could only reach 116 for the loss of eight wickets.
Mohammad Khan was the pick of the Rochdale players, taking three wickets for 23 off six overs before hitting a sparkling 50 off 60 balls.
