Police are appealing for help to identify a man they would like to speak to in connection with a Bolton stabbing.

At around 9am on Saturday August 11th 2018, police were called to reports that a man had been stabbed outside the Birdrona shop on Deane Road in Bolton.

Police and ambulance services attended and a 33-year-old  man was treated for stab wounds to his shoulder.

Investigating officers have now released an image of a man who they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

PC Khal Rahim from GMP’s Bolton borough said: “We believe the offender was with the victim prior to the incident. They entered the shop together and a fight started while inside.

“The fight then spilled out onto the road before the man re-entered the shop, took a knife and attacked the victim with it.

“We have released an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with this incident and I am appealing for anyone who recognises him to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 5757, alternatively call 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
