Bury College University Centre starts a new academic year by launching state-of-the-art facilities which will further enhance the student experience.

This exciting redevelopment means that students will benefit from a modern eating and learning resource area and will enjoy a contemporary dining experience. This new investment was co-funded between Savoy Educational Trust and the College. The facility is situated in the College's University Centre which houses a wide range of higher education and adult programmes.

These new facilities will also give Catering students access to cutting edge, industry standard facilities which will complement the training kitchen capacity already available at Bury College. This will give aspiring chefs, restaurant managers and baristas the opportunity to work in a new hospitality training environment and will allow learners to develop their range of food preparation skills and provide a chance to experience a new live working environment.

A number of contractors were involved in the project management and building and fitting including Atkins, Truline and KitchEquip. They worked together to ensure that the facilities were made to the highest standard.

Lisa Matthews, Bury College Curriculum Director for Adult Learning and Higher Education, said, "We are delighted to open this modern new facility and see our Adult learners benefitting from a contemporary environment. Bury College University Centre prides itself on providing a safe and supportive learning environment and this new development further enhances the experience our students will enjoy. We are welcoming new and returning students and we look forward working with them to achieve their educational goals."

There's still time to join Bury College University Centre this Autumn. Study local and benefit from small class sizes and personalised support from tutors with industry experience.
