Residents from across Greater Manchester are being invited to an interactive murder-mystery themed performance and music evening at The Met in Bury this month to raise money for two sight-loss charities.
The evening on Monday 16 December will kick off from 6.30pm with a performance by Engage2Stage, a community theatre group for people with vision impairment, that gives the audience the chance to interact with the actors to work out whodunnit. Music will then be provided from local musicians Paul Quigley, Jamie Mclaren, Monkey Fingers and Ash Mountain until 10pm.
Tickets are now available for the event at £12, with all proceeds going to the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and Engage2Stage.
Adam Pearson, RNIB Connect Facilitator, said: “This event promises to be a really exciting and unique experience, with great music from local artists and a fantastic immersive performance where people can quiz the actors and figure out clues to deduce who the killer is.
“This is a perfect chance for people to unleash their inner-Sherlock Holmes, and then celebrate the evening’s sleuthing by dancing the night away.”
In addition to the performance, blind and partially sighted visitors will also be able to book a guided ‘touch tour’ beforehand, and audio description and sighted guides are available.
Murder and Music on the Menu will be held at The Met in Bury on 16 December 2019 from 6.30pm until 10.00pm. Tickets are £12 plus a £1 booking fee, with all proceeds going to RNIB and Engage2Stage. Bookings for tickets and the touch tour can be made on 0161 761 2216.
