Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week, Chris Green MP paid a visit to MhIST, Bolton’s Mental Health Independent Support Team, to find out more about their work in the community.

Following the visit, Mr Green said: “Campaigns such as Mental Health Awareness Week enable more of us to have a better understanding of mental health and learn more about how to support those who are suffering.

“During my recent visit to the Mental Health Independent Support Team, I learned about the variety of support groups and therapies that they provide those who are suffering across the whole of Bolton.

“I’m also pleased that MhIST are now able to reach out to my constituents after receiving a communities grant from the Big Lottery and I urge anyone who is suffering to speak out and seek support.”

To get in contact with MhIST, telephone: 01204 527200 or email help@mhist.co.uk and for more information about MhIST, visit http://www.mhist.co.uk/
