Market Place, Bolton is excited to announce that the Bolton Wine Festival will be back at the centre for the second year in a row on Saturday 27th April.
The event, which was the first of its kind in Bolton, proved overwhelmingly popular in 2018, inspiring the organiser, Matt Farnworth of Bluetree media to plan a second event for this year.
Guests at this year’s event, which takes place from 2pm – 11.30pm in Neo Gallery at Market Place, can expect to find 100’s of wines to taste and then buy by the glass or even the bottle. There will be wine tasting and masterclasses with a variety of local and national producers and suppliers including Turton Wines from Bromley Cross, Reserve Wines from Didsbury, Cantine de Palma from Wigan, Grape to Grain from Ramsbottom, Montann from Bolton, The Bubbly Box from Wigan and Ginception from Burnley.
Cheese and meat boards will be provided by The Slaughtered House wine bar from Bromley Cross and wood-fired pizzas will be provided by Mwah Pizza from Stockport.
A number of local musicians will entertain customers throughout the afternoon and into the night as they sample the food and drink on offer.
The event is the perfect opportunity for everyone to sample wines from all over the world as well as some exclusive local winemakers. There will also be the chance to try some alternative tipples including gins, Whiskey, Vodka, Rum and beer.
Advance tickets are just £10 each, while those bought on the day are £12 each. All ticket prices include entry, wine glass, a free drink and a voucher for a discount off food. Tickets are available now and can be purchased from www.boltonwinefestival.co.uk.
The event is proudly sponsored by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, Coexistence Apparel, Ideal Corporate Solutions, Bolton at Home, Starts with you and Stonecross. Market Place was selected as the ideal venue to host the event due to the explosion of great food and drink on offer within the centre over recent years.
Matt Farnworth, Bluetree Media says, “I am really excited to be able to bring the Wine Festival back to Bolton for it's 2nd year. Last year was a big success and was far better received than I imagined. We have been really conscious of not losing the intimacy of last year’s event, so we have deliberately not grown it in size, but we’ve got some returning traders as well as some brand new ones who will bring something different to the event.”
Nikki Wilson-Cook, Centre Manager, Market Place says, “We’re thrilled to welcome the Bolton Wine Festival back to Market Place this year. It’s a great opportunity for customers to sample a variety of drinks produced across the region and if last year’s event is anything to go by. We’re sure it will be a huge success.”
