Bolton Ramblers travel to Grassington in North Yorkshire, the "capital" of Wharfedale, on Saturday (January 6th).
Two walks are on offer, one of 8 miles and one of 5 and both explore the Wharfedale countryside with its attractive and interesting villages and walk part of the Dales Way.
The coach will leave Chequerbent on the A6, Westhoughton, at 07.45am and Bolton at 8am from outside the Lads & Girls Club, Spa Road and costs £13.00.

On Sunday, January 14th, there will be a local Ramble around Blackrod Bottoms. Meet at 2.00pm at Blackrod Parish Church (St. Katherine's), New St. (Bus 575 to Wigan).
This will be a leisurely, generally level walk of approximately 4 miles. From the centre of Blackrod, the route descends to Little Scotland, across fields towards Red Rock and along Meadow Pit Lane. It then crosses the fields to join the Leeds & Liverpool Canal and follows this over the Victorian Aqueduct. Half a mile further on, it leaves the canal and returns to the starting point via quiet lanes.
The walk is free and there is no need to book. Just come along. Sturdy footwear is essential. For further information, visit: www.boltonramblers.org.uk or phone 01204 692458.
