Bury, Greater Manchester - North West based start-up, Polaris Events, has been announced as winners of Event Decorator Of The Year at Britain's Asian Wedding Awards 2020, recognising and rewarding the best in the Asian wedding industry across the UK.
Wednesday 12th of February marked the 4th annual Britain's Asian Wedding Awards. The awards which are hosted by Oceanic Consulting, was held at The Mercure Hotel in Manchester Piccadilly. The best in Britain's Asian Wedding community turned out in full glam to celebrate the night and to find out if they had won the most prestigious award in their category.
For Greater Manchester based company, Polaris Events, there was stiff competition. The family run company which has been in business a little over 12 months (they launched in December 2018) were in one of the biggest categories, with a total of 10 of the UK's best- and well-known event decorators, meaning winning was no easy feat.
Their success is in large due their unique business model, by offering a service where they work with each client on a tailor made and bespoke basis, creating examples of their centrepieces and décor before they have even signed on the dotted line. They have managed to create a ‘try before you buy' scheme in an industry where you typically can't guarantee you'll have your dream day until you walk in to say ‘I do'.
Polaris Events has set out to break the mould of the wedding industry, offering complete transparency with all of its clients and going about the wedding industry in a very different way. Within 12 short months they have not only secured a multitude of weddings, they have worked with major corporate clients such as AO.com and Saville's.

Polaris Events were shortlisted into the finals due to the number of nominations which were received from the public. Once these nominations were received, the vote then went on to a panel of judges who reviewed each finalist and selected a winner.
