Bolton Ramblers are off to the North Pennines

Bolton Ramblers travel by coach to Thrang on Saturday, August 4th to walk along the Upper Eden Valley to Kirkby Stephen.

There will be two walks, one of nine miles and one of five.

They will pass ruined castles, a beautiful waterfall and along a Poet's Trail.  There will be time for refreshments in Kirkby Stephen before boarding the coach back to Bolton.

The coach leaves Bolton (Lads & Girls Club, Spa Road) at 8am and costs £13 pp.

For more information, visit: www.boltonramblers.org.uk and to book a seat on the coach, tel: David on 01204 849229, text 07899 415 824 or email: boltonramblers@hotmail.co.uk.

The Ramblers also work to clear and maintain footpaths in the Bolton area.  This is critically important work, helping to keep footpaths open and accessible for the benefit of the community.

It is rewarding work requiring a level of fitness but not extraordinary amounts of strength or stamina.

Volunteers are always needed and always welcome.  The next 'Footpath Maintenance' session is on Tuesday, August 7th from 10am to 12 noon.

Should anyone be prepared to help or simply require more information, please email Ron on boltonramblers@hotmail.co.uk.
